Love Story
is another great book from Jennifer Echols. Let me start by saying I love
Jennifer Echols. I was bullied by Erica to read her books and I’m really glad
she force me to read them. Jennifer Echols knows how to write great
contemporary romances and Love Story was
another great addition.
In Love Story, the story was spot on. I loved the romance tension and
relationship between Hunter and Erin. Their story developed at a perfect pace
and I couldn’t help but love their story.
One of my favorite things
about this book was how Jennifer Echols used the stories Erin and Hunter were
writing in the college class to help tie together Erin and Hunter’s own
personal story. I loved how their writing pieces reflected their own
relationship and personal lives. I thought using the characters stories they
written was something very different but worked to tie Erin and Hunter’s story
together.
Both Hunter and Erin are
freshman’s in college. I was so happy to see this. I feel that in YA there are
never any characters in college or around the age of people in college. As a
college student it’s a nice change of pace to read about characters the same
age as me.
One thing Jennifer Echols is
a master at is the romance. And boy, let me say, this one had some good
romance. The chemistry between Erin and Hunter seemed to jump off the page for
me. No matter how much Erin said she didn’t like Hunter, we all know (even Erin
did) that she was lying. There was just so much chemistry between the two that
I could not wait until both Hunter and Erin acted about it. The romance was
just spot on in this book.
When I started this book, I
could not stop until I finished it. I really wanted to find out what would
happen between Hunter and Erin. I have to say, I think Love Story has surpassed Going
Too Far as my favorite Jennifer Echols book. This book is a must read for YA
contemporary fans!
Thanks to Big Honcho Media, I have TWO copies of Love Story to giveaway! Here is a little more about the book:She's writing about him. He's writing about her. And everybody is reading between the lines.
For Erin Blackwell, majoring in creative writing at the New York City college of her dreams is more than a chance to fulfill her ambitions-it's her ticket away from the tragic memories that shadow her family's racehorse farm in Kentucky. But when she refuses to major in business and take over the farm herself someday, her grandmother gives Erin's college tuition and promised inheritance to their maddeningly handsome stable boy, Hunter Allen. Now Erin has to win an internship and work late nights at a local coffee shop to make her own dreams a reality. She should despise Hunter . . . so why does he sneak into her thoughts as the hero of her latest writing assignment?
Then, on the day she's sharing that assignment with her class, Hunter walks in. He's joining her class. And after he reads about himself in her story, her private fantasies about him must be painfully clear. She only hopes to persuade him not to reveal her secret to everyone else. But Hunter devises his own creative revenge, writing sexy stories that drive the whole class wild with curiosity and fill Erin's heart with longing. Now she's not just imagining what might have been. She's writing a whole new ending for her romance with Hunter . . . except this story could come true.

ReplyDeleteThanks so much for the giveaway! Awesome review! I love all of Echols books that I've read so I'm glad that there are a lot of people loving this book too!
ReplyDeleteLove Story is really a deceiving title, given that the two people who could be members of this love story are a disinherited, newly broke, Kentucky farm girl with a chip on her shoulder and a newly rich, 'used-to-be stable boy to said girl' guy with a cocky attitude. And they don't really get along. That stems from a broken friendship, superiority/inferiority issues, and a stolen inheritance. It's complicated.
